Vigie Sist Café is a charming little coffee shop, located in a quiet street in old town Chiang Mai. This hidden gem is especially memorable for its homemade food and plenty of bakery items, and a must try for both breakfast and brunch time!
With an antique flare to it, this cozy café has plenty of colourful details throughout, topped with peaceful music in the background making it the perfect quiet oasis.
It is a family business and, as per any Thai business, you will be sure to be received with open arms. We sure did feel welcomed every time we stopped here for a bite!
If you can, make sure to try their blueberry cheesecake, it is absolutely delicious! As far as coffee goes, you can’t go wrong here, there are even some milk alternatives available.

Over & Over Coffee

If like us, you can’t go on with your day without a good cup of coffee, than Over & Over Coffee might just be the place for you!
This is a true speciality coffee place, where coffee truly is the king. It is definitely on the quieter side, and they offer great prices for their drinks, with alternative milk options available!
There is a nice outdoor area where you can relax while sipping your hot drink, and a minimalist interior with a simple but well thought layout.
Here we tasted some of our favourite coffees while in Chiang Mai, so if you enjoy barista coffee and have a love for beans, this place will make you happy, no doubt!

Coffee Telling

Coffee Telling is a small and easily overlooked coffee shop in the centre of Chiang Mai. Service here is unmatched! The owner is a true example of Thai hospitality, always smiling, very open and friendly with everyone.
We found this place by chance, and the quality of their coffee really surprised us! The beans are locally sourced, and they have really good quality plant-based milks available at no extra cost.
On top of the coffee selection, there is often fresh banana bread and plenty of refreshing smoothies that you can enjoy. This is also the perfect café to get your drinks on the go!

Gallery Drip Coffee

If you appreciate good coffee, Gallery Drip Coffee Chiang Mai is definitely a must-visit! Even if you aren’t a connoisseur, this is a great lovely cafe with a very youthful atmosphere.
Here you can try some of the best coffees that Chiang Mai has to offer, with plenty of choice of local beans, focusing mainly on coffee from Northern Thailand.
The large selection can be overwhelming at first, but we were given a quick brief of the history of the various beans and where they were sourced from, which was really helpful. We loved trying their drip coffee, and would 100% recommend!
If the weather allows, go outside and enjoy their courtyard, which they share with the Chiang Mai City Arts and Cultural Center. It is lovely with plenty of greenery, and perfect if you plan on working on your laptop while there!

Por Jai Fruits Juice & Coffee

Known for its smoothies and delicious fruit juices, Por Jai turned out to be surprisingly good when it came to their coffee!
With the lowest prices in comparison with the other coffee shops on this list, this tiny and welcoming shop offers a great variety of fresh fruit and coffee beans to choose from.
It is quite popular among locals and tourists alike, and the family that runs this place is extremely accommodating to your dietary needs, in case you have any food restrictions.
This was one of the most memorable cafés of our trip to Chiang Mai, and should definitely be on your radar when visiting this incredible city!

Republic Coffee

Republic Coffee is a unique café on wheels located away from the busy streets of Chiang Mai, on the grounds of a quiet and charming Thai temple called Wat Sri Kerd.
This coffee shop started out by selling delicious drinks from an old van, and is now a charming outdoor café housed in a repurposed shipping container.
It offers delicious cold and hot drinks, with tea and coffee being their speciality. There are plenty of tables and seats if you intend on coming with a large group, and because it is outdoors you can enjoy the shade from the many trees in the surrounding area.
This is the perfect spot to recharge after exploring the beautiful old town of Chiang Mai!

Around Town Coffee

Located just in front of the old city walls, Around Town Coffee is a small café serving delicious speciality coffee and beautifully crafted latte art in Chiang Mai.
Here you can get some of the most beautiful looking coffees, with their cappuccinos and flat whites being some of the best we had during our trips around Thailand!
This is a small café, so there is not a lot of seating available. It is therefore perfect for a quick stop, and you can also simply ask for a coffee on-the-go.
