Located on top of The Vintage hotel, The V Rooftop Bar is a small and intimate rooftop bar in the centre of Lisbon. Also, because of its location near the famous neighbourhood of Príncipe Real, you can add plenty of shopping and sightseeing to your visit.

Along with cocktails and wine options, you can also enjoy some petiscos, small and delicious Portuguese tapas. One of our favourite recommendations for you to try is their Pica Pau, traditional beef strips cooked in a pickled sauce. Delicious, and an absolute must-have!

Although the view is not really panoramic, you can still enjoy great sights from this rooftop, with the small setting making it a cosy place to be.

Ferroviário is an amazing rooftop bar and restaurant with gorgeous views overlooking the Tagus river. If you are exploring the older neighbourhoods of Lisbon you should absolutely plan a stop by this bar, as it located right by the gateway to the famous and historical Alfama area.

One of the best things about this rooftop is the 500m2 open area, making it easier to find a table or visit with a large group. With that said, we do recommend making a reservation if you intend to eat here, as the venue often hosts live music and cinema events that can easily fill up the place.

With a tropical vibe and plenty of greenery, this is a great spot to capture idyllic pictures of the city, especially at sunset!

This is a prime location, as in the surroundings there is no shortage of restaurants and entertainment. You will find a shopping mall, casino and even a great oceanarium in walking distance from this rooftop!

We absolutely loved the overall service here, and found the food to be one of the best out of all of the rooftop terraces on our list.

We recommend that you book this place at least 2 days in advance as it can be quite popular, especially in the evening.

To top it off, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Lisbon, the iconic Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, is located right in front of this terrace and offers more amazing views of the city!

Memmo Alfama Bar is another amazing rooftop bar located on top of one of Lisbon’s many hotels.

The difference is that this one is still relatively unknown, and is therefore often overlooked. This is perfect if you are looking for a more private rooftop experience, without the crowds and away from tourist hotspots!

We found that the hotel staff were super accommodating even though we were not guests there, and we always felt welcomed every time we visited.

As for the views, they are absolutely breathtaking from this viewpoint! The drinks, as well as the food are worth it, especially if you are just looking to get a quick bite and a refreshing cocktail.

Get yourself a cheese or charcuterie platter and a nice sangria, then relax and take it the stunning view!

Centrally located in downtown Lisbon, Entretanto Rooftop Bar offers some of the best panoramic views of the city, in a fancy yet simple setting!

Because of its popularity this rooftop can get quite busy, especially on the weekends, so make sure to get there early or at least before sunset. It’s usually then that people start arriving, and it can get difficult to get a table at that time.

We found this rooftop to be perfect for having a refreshing drink, a glass of wine or one of the many cocktails after a day of exploring!

Lost In

Address: Rua Dom Pedro V Nº56-D, 1250-094 Lisboa, Portugal

Hidden in a small alleyway, Lost-In Restaurant and Bar is a little nature oasis in the heart of Lisbon. Filled with colourful chairs and lounges along with some really beautiful graffitis, this is truly a unique place with a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

We first visited this bar in 2016, when it was just a big outdoor lounging area. Nowadays they added a very beautiful indoor area featuring a Mediterranean-Asian fusion restaurant, offering beautiful views of the city that can be enjoyed even on rainy days.

Because the indoor area of the restaurant is fully surrounded by glass walls, you even get to enjoy incredible views without having to be outside on the terrace on colder evenings.

We found the ambiance to be absolutely spectacular here, and we always had good experiences when coming here, either for just a drink or to get a full on meal course.

We especially recommend coming here on a warm sunny day, as it can get pretty windy and chilly at night. The sunset seen from here is to die for; Enjoy it with a drink and some snacks from the bar and you are in for an amazing experience!

Rooftop The Art Inn

Address: Rua 1º de Dezembro 31, 1250-357 Lisboa, Portugal

Imagine walking around some of the busiest streets in downtown Lisbon, only to accidentally stumble across this hidden rooftop terrace. Actually, that’s exactly what happened to us!

The Rooftop The Art Inn is one of the best rooftops in the city, loved by both locals and tourists alike. Because the owners are Italian, the restaurant offers amazing pasta dishes in an incredible picturesque setting.

Once at the top, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views, a charming rooftop terrace and amazing service from the staff. Truly a memorable experience!

The only downside to this place is that to access it you have to climb a long flight of stairs. This unfortunately puts it out of reach for people with reduced mobility.

Topo Martim Moniz

If what you are looking for is a more casual rooftop bar, with younger crowds and the occasional live DJ, Topo Martim Moniz might just be the one for you!

This cool rooftop terrace is located on the 6th floor of an old shopping mall, by the Martim Moniz square. This area is known for its multiculturalism and ethnic diversity, and that’s exactly what you’ll get here: people of all walks of life just having a good time.

Did you know that you can also play some free arcade games here? That’s right, we were not expecting that either!

We do recommend that you get here on time for sunset, and maybe stay a few more hours after the sun goes down, as that’s when live music starts!

Rooftop Bar Mundial

This rooftop bar is home to several events, such as sunset parties during the spring and summer months, as well as DJ and live music performances all year round.

Even though it isn’t a very affordable bar, it can still get quite crowded during, you guessed it, during sunset hours!

Keep that in mind and always aim to arrive here a bit earlier to secure a table.

Here you’ll enjoy Mundial’s extensive menu of cocktails and mocktails in one of the best backdrops the city has to offer, be it outdoors or in its cozy indoor room!

Noobai

Address: Miradouro de Santa Catarina, 1200-401 Lisboa, Portugal

Located right next to the miradouro of Santa Catarina, an iconic viewpoint in the city, Noobai is a very relaxing small rooftop restaurant in a simple, calm setting.

If you are looking for the best sunset views of the Tagus river and the iconic 25 de Abril bridge, then you can’t go wrong with this one!

Its proximity to the coast offers unobstructed views of Lisbon all the way to Alcântara, making it an iconic spot for sunsets after a long day of sightseeing.
